A Dog's Life Rescue is still desperate to raise funds for Mika's care. Mika will have to have surgery to adjust some of her organs that shifted downward due to the fact that her pelvis didn't form completely. This surgery will be along with her spay (hoping to do at the same time) and her prolapsed rectum, and is going to be in the thousands!! Not to mention the continued vet visits for monitoring, physical therapy and a lifetime of diapers! Mika will need special care for the rest of her life.

Mika was found in an alley at just two weeks of age by a young man walking home from school. The boy's mom contacted A Dog's Life Rescue for help because Mika is a special needs puppy. Mika is paralyzed from the butt down so she will need a very special home. Mika has no idea anything is wrong with her, she does get around on her own (she loves to hop:) and we will be getting her a cart when she is old enough. Mika is full of life and love. She plays and has normal puppy energy and is a great cuddler. She loves dogs and cats and all people and all people fall head over heels for Mika when they meet her. Mika does not have control of her bladder or bowels so she does wear a diaper.
